Airtel launches 4G in Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Purnia, Bikramganj, Jhajha, Daudnagar and Ramnagar
Bharti Airtel, Indias largest telecommunications services provider, today announced the launch of 4G services in Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Purnia, Bikramganj, Jhajha, Daudnagar and Ramnagar.
With these launches, Airtel has expanded its 4G footprint to 12 towns in Bihar, with 4G services already available in Patna, Gaya, Siwan, Motihari and Bhagalpur. Airtel 4G will allow customers to enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images. Customers can avail easy upgrades with 4G ready USIMs, completely free of cost. Commenting on the launch, Ajai Puri, Director - Operations (India & South Asia), Bharti Airtel said, "We are delighted to announce the availability of Airtel 4G in seven additional cities in Bihar. Our affordable data and tariff plans for customers will ensure world class mobile broadband experience on Airtel 4G network." The launch of Airtel 4G across 12 locations/towns in Bihar is a part of Project Leap - Airtels nation-wide network transformation initiative. With a planned investment of Rs 60,000 crores over the next three years, Project Leap is a strategic company initiative aimed at perceptibly improving its network quality and delivering the best customer experience.
Airtel has led the 4G story in India, having launched India’s first 4G network in Kolkata in April 2012.
