AgileNCR 2016 ends on a successful note

AgileNCR 2016, the 8th edition of the Agile Software Development Conference, concluded on a successful note in Gurgaon. The two-day conference on Agile Technology was organized by Xebia, a next-generation digital transformation and global IT company, along with Agile enthusiasts of the NCR region. The theme for this year’s conference was “Evolution of the Agile Revolution”.

The conference brought together over 250 delegates from more than 75 Technology Companies in the region, including key International speakers, industry practitioners, Agile gurus and seasoned Agilists to address the growing need of digital enterprises for adoption of fast-paced Agile Software Development. The conference provided a platform to learn best practices and explore new ideas and trends on evolving technology.

The key speakers of the inaugural session on the first and second day included Anand Sahay, CEO, Xebia India; Tathagat Verma, Founder & CEO, Thought Leadership; Karan Nangru, Chief Digital & Technology, Xebia; and Chris Lukassen, Xebia Netherlands, among others, respectively.

The conference covered all aspects of Agile technology under four parallel tracks – Future of Agile Coaching, Agile beyond IT, Agile DevOpsified and Agile in Big Data and Analytics. Interactive sessions on these topics provided the participants an excellent opportunity to discover tools designed to increase efficiency and productivity while leveraging best practices to improve Agile adoption.

Anand Sahay, CEO, Xebia IT Architects India, said, “AgileNCR 2016 is a very important event for us with respect to taking Agile as well as the Agile community to the next level. Agile is turning bigger than software development. That is why we have touched upon topics which are beyond IT in this year’s conference. We have talked about how to bring Agility into your organization with regard to marketing, HR and other related aspects. There is another new area of digital transformation that we have particularly focussed in this edition of AgileNCR 2016 i.e. ‘Product Ownership’ which is going to play a prominent role in the future for the companies who are trying to get the right value out of technology.”

Tathagat Verma, Founder & CEO, Thought leadership, said, “This conference has created an interactive platform for IT professionals to join and share knowledge, innovative ideas with respect to Agile Technology. I hope that this conference would be a trendsetter for the Agile community in the region.”

Chris Lukassen, Product Samurai, Xebia Netherlands, said, “I’m overwhelmed with the response and the enthusiasm among the Agile community in this region. AgileNCR 2016 has raised the industry standards to a new level and inspired the IT professionals to bring a transformation with the help of Agile Technology.”

Karan Nangru, Chief – Digital & Technology, Xebia, said, “AgileNCR 2016 has been a revolution. Our idea was not just to talk about the process as a practice, but also to talk about Agile technology, what it means for the business and how our technology initiatives are making the value of the businesses.”

With an overwhelming response from the participants and great support from all the sponsors and supporters like Scrum Alliance, XebiaLabs and Agile Chandigarh, respectively, each day served a handful of opportunities for attendees to express, share, understand and explore the insights into technology.

During the conference, Xebia Training launched DASA (DevOps Agile Skills Association) certification in India. DASA can provide the skills and knowledge that IT professionals need for their transformational journey. DASA DevOps Fundamentals provides an extensive introduction to the Agile DevOps principles covering the essential knowledge and skill competences, defined by DASA.
