After Bachchans, Khers are next under Coronavirus scanner

Social media is being flooded with good wishes and gets well soon messages after the messages of two Bollywood biggies and their family members being stuck with Coronavirus went on air 

Amitabh tweeted to inform his fans, “I have tested COVID positive shifted to Hospital  ... hospital informing authorities  ... the family and staff underwent tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!”

Abhishek, meanwhile, asked fans to stay calm and not panic. He tweeted, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID-19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”

On Sunday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan were tested positive for coronavirus as well. The rest of the family members, including Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and her children, tested negative.

While Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have been advised to stay at the Nanavati hospital, Aishwarya and Aaradhya will quarantine at home.

“Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful. The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers,” Abhishek wrote.

Another Bollywood actor took to social media to inform about his family being under COVID-19 scanner. Anupam Kher on Sunday shared on social media that his mother, brother Raju, sister-in-law Rima and niece Vrinda were tested positive for coronavirus. On Monday, he thanked fans for their constant love and support for him and his family members’, informing his mother has been shifted to isolation ward, while Raju Kher and his family are put under home quarantine.

“Thank you for all the wishes for my mother, brother and his family. I may not be able to reply to all of you personally, but I am overwhelmed. When four members of your family test positive for the coronavirus, it is scary, but your love has filled us with positivity. My mother has been shifted to an isolation ward while Raju and his family will be under home quarantine. I am thankful for everyone who has given us so much love,” the actor said in the video.

“I would like to mention that the words social distancing and safety are not just mere words. It is a reality and should be taken seriously. This virus is serious. Don’t go out if it is not extremely necessary. Please stay at home because only then you will be safe. Please take social distancing seriously,” Kher concluded.

He also urged his fans to take social distancing seriously, thus staying at home and healthy.
