8th VARINDIA IT Cricket Cup -SGO Complex, Indira Ground, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar

It is a fact that sports plays a crucial role in making a city smart. Sports recognize the place, state and the organization they work for and it helps in brand building and brand recall. It also brings out the hidden talent of every hard working employee who spends maximum hours sitting in 4 x 4 cubicles and 24x7.
The Tournament drew an overwhelming response from the IT majors in Odisha. The objective of the tournament was to bring all the corporate together on a single platform, where they get to know each other and experience the real spirit of the game.

To realise its objective of promoting sports in the IT fraternity, VARINDIA organized its annual cricketing event - the 8th VARINDIA IT Cup 2018 and the VARINDIA Champion Trophy 2018. The matches were played at SGO Complex, Indira Ground, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar.

In the semi final match played between Aabsys and Tatwa, Rajnikanta Swain of Tatwa Technologies was awarded the Man of the Match. In the second semi final match played between TCS and Exilant, Bibek Singh won the Man of the Match award. The Final match was played between TCS and Tatwa, in which Tatwa Technologies clinched the title, while TCS emerged as the Runner-up of the 8th VAR INDIA IT CUP. The man of the match award went to Santosh of Tatwa Technologies. Rajanikanta Swain of Tatwa Technologies won the Man of the Series of the 8th VARINDIA IT Cup 2018.

The winner of the Champion Trophy 2018 was Tatwa Technologies that has been winning this title for 3 consecutive years.

The cricketing tournament was supported by OCAC and STPI.
