Unless companies come to realise that their security perimeters must grow beyond the corporate firewall to encompass social media networks, the global cost of cybercrime will continue to mushroom and is likely to more than quadruple over the next three years, bringing the total cost of data breaches to US$2.1 trillion by 2019.
